Helena Bonham Carter has shared her belief that her partner Tim Burton should receive an honorary knighthood.
The American director has lived in the UK since scouting for locations for Sleepy Hollow in 1999. He has since filmed many of his movies in the UK, and Bonham Carter argues that he has helped create thousands of jobs in the process.
The actress told The Times: “They should give him a knighthood. An honorary one would be fine. He has done so much for Britain, he’s employed so many people. Practically all his movies are made here because he loves British craftsmanship.”
