Helena's latest film Alice in Wonderland has been setting records left right and centre! The film brought in $116.3 million (£76.8 million) at the box office (in North America) in it's opening weekend, beating the first weekend performance of blockbuster Avatar, and being the 6th biggest opening weekend ever in North America!
It has also set a record for the highest first weekend earner in the first three months of any year. The benchmark was previously set by Mel Gibson's The Passion of the Christ in 2004.
Alice is the 14th film to make over £100 million in it's opening weekend, and it raked in $210.3 million in it's opening weekend Worldwide, therefore making it the 14th best Worldwide opening ever! It also gave IMAX its best opening ever, $11.9 million domestically, beating Avatar’s $9.5 million record.
It's safe to say that Alice is going to be Tim's biggest hit, and bring a lot of attention to Helena!

Thank you to Ellie for sending in this short article where Helena talks about the mental illness that runs in her family. I have to admit, I'm struggling to keep up with all these interviews and articles, so if you come across any that you think we should post, that we don't already have, send them in!
Helena Bonham Carter says ''healthy insanity'' runs in her family and accepts the fact she may suffer from mental illness herself at some point in her life.
Helena Bonham Carter believes she has the "potential" to go insane.
The 'Alice in Wonderland' actress - whose mother Elena suffered a severe breakdown 38 years ago - believes mental illness is hereditary and accepts the fact she may suffer herself in the future.
Helena - who is in a long-term relationship with Tim Burton - said: "There's a good streak in our family of, I'd say, healthy insanity. My mother, and I know, my grandmother and great-grandmother. I think it's very much genetic.
"I haven't suffered yet, but I know there's potential there. I've been depressed and don't like it. I was definitely depressed when I was 18, wondering who I was.
"I was under a lot of scrutiny but I hadn't worked out for myself whether I wanted to act. I felt very isolated because I was out of my peer group."
Helena, 43, sought therapy for her problems, but is unsure whether speaking to someone helped.
The actress - who landed her first acting role at 16 - added to The Times newspaper: "I had therapy. I'm not sure if the therapy helped. It just passed. It was fine. You find a way through it, but it is hard, still, to talk about it."Source:Contact Music
Johnathan Ross reviews Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland, including a short interview with Helena. I love what Helena is wearing, she's been looking so beautiful lately!
Helena sat down with ScreenStar recently, for yet another interview! She chats about Alice mainly, but there are some other cute bits too. Check out a snippet below, and read the full interview here!
This is one of those films where you don't know how it's come together until you see the finished piece. So, what did you make of it?
To be honest, it's probably one of the few films I can watch myself in because I don't really look that much like me, because my head is about ten times bigger than it actually is. That's where he's amazing, Tim, because he's got such a visual imagination, and the impact of some simple ideas I can't fully realize. Then I'll watch the film and go, "Oh, that's what he was going on about." That's partially why, and I didn't quite appreciate this initially, you have to be really quite minimal, because my head was going to be so much bigger than anyone else's. Your acting has to be that much better.
Thanks very much to Kat from PopSugar TV for sending us in their interview with Helena and Anne, for their upcoming film Alice in Wonderland (which is in UK theatres today!) Check out the fantastic interview below
Thanks to Amber for posting this interview/article on the tagboard! I've not read it yet, but I'm looking forward to from the quick glance I had.
HELENA BONHAM CARTER yawns, stretches out her little feet encased in little black boots tied with little black ribbons and yawns again. She giggles, takes a sip of tea, and fiddles with one of many gold fob watches around her neck. We're in a suite at the Dorchester Hotel the day Alice in Wonderland premieres in London and Bonham Carter is on mischievous, if sleepy, form.Source: News.Scotsman, Read More
Another interview, this time it is new! Posted on the 04th March (that's today ), Helena talks about her role as the Red Queen in Alice in Wonderland, which is released in Britain tomorrow!
When Tim Burton cast her as 'Alice in Wonderland's' Red Queen, he failed to mention her character would have a swollen noggin.
When Tim Burton finally made his surprise proposal, Helena Bonham Carter was touched by how shy and befuddled he sounded. "He was so polite about it, and there were so many hesitations," Bonham Carter said. "He said, 'Would you consider, um, possibly, perhaps -- but only if you want to -- um, anyway, would you play the Red Queen?'"Source:Los Angeles Times, Read More
