The King’s Speech star Helena Bonham Carter surprised a few people at the Golden Globes on Sunday when she walked the red carpet in a unique Vivienne Westwood dress complete with a set of mismatched shoes, one red and green.
“I can reasonably predict that no one will come with the same dress or looking exactly like me,” Carter tells George Pennacchio of KABC Television, OnTheRedCarpet.com’s parent company. “No, I like to have fun, I love dressing up. It’s part of acting.”
She adds, “I just put too many things on and I like to have fun. As long as you’re comfortable too, I’m a big believer in comfort.”
The actress, who lost to The Fighter star Melissa Leo in the Best Performance by an Actress In A Supporting Role in a Motion Picture category, also sported a black lace headpiece.
When asked if anyone helped her come up with her signature Golden Globes look the actress said, “No, no one helps me. I don’t need it.”
