BAFTA Longlist

The British Academy has announced the films longlisted for its 2011 awards, with and The King’s Speech leading the pack, recognised in 15 categories each. Inception and Made in Dagenham followed in 14 categories each, and The Social Network was listed in 13 categories.

BAFTA’s 6,300 members have voted in their first round, selected from 207 entered films and now will vote from 15 longlisted films for the actual nominees (to be announced Jan 18). Members then vote a final time to determine the winners (some categories are voted for by only the specialist chapter in their category), which will be announced on Feb 13.

Tim and Alice appear in a variety of categories, including Best Director for Tim, and Leading Actor for Johnny Depp.

Helena herself appears twice in the Best Supporting Actress category, for her performances in The King’s Speech and Alice in Wonderland.
